It is the only certified adult day center serving the five counties of Linn, Benton, Lane, Lincoln, and Polk. Grace Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing person-centered care that optimizes the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical abilities of older adults and differently abled adults so they can remain as independent as possible while continuing to live in their homes and communities. The center specializes in memory care, post-rehabilitation support, and services for individuals living with neurocognitive degenerative disorders and diseases, including dementia, as well as those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and other health challenges. Through compassionate, individualized support, Grace Center prioritizes direct human impact and services that meet the evolving needs of community members, especially those who are marginalized, underrepresented, or low-income neighbors in the region. Grace Center also fosters opportunities for community connection, creativity, innovation, and meaningful engagement, empowering participants and caregivers alike to improve their quality of life and that of others. In addition to supporting participants, Grace Center provides vital respite, resources, and peace of mind for caregivers and families. What Grace Center Offers For participants, we provide socialization, exercise, health monitoring, specialized memory care, and post-rehabilitation specialties. Grace Center is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate day services to aging adults and individuals with differing abilities. Our amenities include shower services, personal care, grooming needs, and more (please ask us about our additional amenities). We bring peace of mind to the participants and their caregivers. For caregivers, we provide supportive care management and teamwork, much-needed respite, and access to a free monthly caregiver support group. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization with vision, compassion, and strategic insight. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in social services administration, demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing programs and staff, and have a strong commitment to serving individuals with disabilities and underserved communities. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance, fostering community relationships, and advancing the mission of the Grace Center. Key Duties and Responsibilities Leadership, Strategic Planning & Governance Provides strategic vision and leadership to help achieve Grace Center's vision and mission. Prepares the strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors. Implements established strategic planning goals and provides related progress reports to the Board of Directors. Responsible for the overall implementation of Grace Center's programs and services. Oversee routine daily operations. Collaborates with the Board of Directors, senior staff, community partners and participants on long-range program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Financial Management & Revenue Sustainability Administers the program within the budgetary framework including service contracts. Provides monthly financial reports to the Board of Directors that account for budget variances. Prepares the annual budget in collaboration with, and approval by, the Finance Committee/Board of Directors. People Works collaboratively with senior staff to manage day-to-day operations and ensure standards for program excellence. Provides oversight and implements strategies to support and retain staff and volunteers Directs human resources activities including hiring, scheduling, training, orientation, and evaluating performance, including corrective action when necessary. Maintains accurate personnel files. Supports professional growth and works to reduce staff injuries. Foster a culture that values respect, equity, diversity, inclusion, collaboration, teamwork, and accountability Ensures compliance with policies and procedures protecting participants' rights. Resolves identified participant grievances. Community Relations Represents the organization by promoting the vision and impact of programs to inspire and encourage staff, volunteers, partners, donors and community members. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with community, state, and national agencies and associations and participates in projects which are in the best interest of the program. Qualifications and Key Competencies Associate or Bachelor's degree required in business administration, social work, or related field. Management experience required in human service or care settings. Familiarity with financial management, database use, and human resources preferred. Familiarity with employment practices compliant with state and federal regulations. Demonstrated skills in financial oversight, financial reporting, and operational budgets. Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic and fundraising plans, including major gift campaigns. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to communicate with various audiences. Demonstrated excellent organizational and critical thinking skills. Ability to work and communicate effectively with older adults, disabled participants and their representatives. Demonstrated interest and commitment to the well-being of older and differently abled adults. Proven ability to model transparency, collaboration and teamwork that builds commitment amongst staff, volunteers, and partners. Experience working with the Board of Directors and developing strategic planning activities. Highly committed to ethics and accountability standards. Exemplifies through values, beliefs, and practices the philosophy and goals of Grace Center. Ability to sit for up to two hours at a time, ability to bend, straighten, and travel reasonable distances. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Must have a valid Oregon driver's license, proof of car insurance, and an insurable driving record. Must pass a criminal records check to the satisfaction of Grace Center prior to hiring.
