About KidStrong KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical, and character development for children ages walking through 11 years old. We offer a science-based curriculum that is parent-focused and taught by professionals. Our team members are passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives and creating an exceptional experience for families. The Role We're seeking a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader to join our team as Assistant General Manager. You'll be the second in command at our center, working closely with the General Manager to foster a culture of learning and development for both our coaching staff and families. You'll be responsible for delivering key business results—driving sales performance, lowering member attrition, and ensuring an exceptional experience for kids, families, and team members. What You'll Do Center Operations Understand KPIs and financials to make informed business decisions Build and maintain strong relationships with KidStrong families Oversee center initiatives including maintenance, training, and brand consistency Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance Work a typical schedule of 4 weekdays and 1 weekend shift Sell and schedule events such as camps and parties to maximize profitability Sales & Business Development Conduct call drives to new and existing leads in our CRM tool Finalize sales and bookings from online self-sign-up flows Source and attend local events to build brand awareness and drive memberships Leadership & Staff Development Foster a culture of coaching excellence"see something, say something"with continuous feedback and improvement Provide ongoing coaching feedback and conduct continuous performance reviews for all coaches Assess and document coaches based on our Coach DNA profile and class quality standards Partner with the General Manager on hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating coaching candidates Support and manage staff professional development through LearnUpon Serve as Manager on Duty when the General Manager is off-site Direct Coaching (5-10 hours/week) Coach students by delivering our science-based, evolving curriculum focused on Brain, Physical, and Character development Provide age-appropriate instruction for children 15 months through 11 years old Understand and communicate the "why" behind our curriculum to students, families, and coaches Demonstrate and implement various programming and curriculum elements Use the KS Coaches App to record and manage student data (attendance, awards, progress) Work in a physically intensive environment (multiple miles per shift, lifting equipment up to 25 lbs, hands-on work with students) Who You Are Essential Qualifications Athletic or coaching background with direct experience working with or coaching children ages 15 months-11 years old A genuine, demonstrated passion for working with children (this is non-negotiable!) Comfortable and confident speaking to parents/guardians about a variety of topics Current CPR certification Must achieve Coach Certification through our HQ Training and Certification team Must complete all required LearnUpon training as directed by HQ Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics Nice-to-Have Skills Previous management or leadership experience Experience with Google and Microsoft platforms Familiarity with systems like Glofox, LearnUpon, Podium, or ADP Background as a pediatric OT/PT The Leader We Need High Standards Natural Leader Passionate & Goal-Oriented Professional & Tactful Strong Communicator Excellent Teammate Mentor Mindset Coachable with Growth Mindset Adaptable & Resourceful You embody KidStrong values and lead by example through your actions.
