Job Description
The Ephrata Recreation Center, Ephrata PA, is a non-profit family fitness center focused on helping members achieve a healthier way of life. Founded in 1951, the Ephrata Rec Center provides wholesome, affordable recreation opportunities and is deeply rooted within the Ephrata community and beyond. The Ephrata Rec Center utilizes the 65,000 square foot facility to host over 100 programs for members of all ages and fitness levels. With a strong commitment to promoting health, fostering camaraderie, and supporting the local community, the Ephrata Rec Center remains a welcoming space for everyone. The Ephrata Rec Center is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization into the next era of growth and impact. In partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction, building external partnerships, and advancing fundraising efforts to drive the continued success and future sustainability of the Ephrata Rec Center. Additionally, the Executive Director will be responsible for providing leadership to the team and overseeing daily operations to ensure program excellence. The ideal candidate will easily build relationships and serve as a collaborative partner for members, stakeholders, and the greater Ephrata community.

Executive Director Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in recreation, parks and recreation, public administration, business administration, nonprofit management, education, or a related field preferred. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible management or leadership experience, preferably in recreation, nonprofit, community, municipal, YMCA, or related organizations. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, personnel, programs, facilities, and organizational operations. Experience supervising professional, part-time, seasonal, and/or volunteer staff. Experience with aquatics and/or aquatic facility operations preferred. Experience with licensed childcare or preschool programs and regulatory compliance preferred. Demonstrated experience developing community partnerships and working with governmental entities, schools, nonprofit organizations, and businesses.
