Job Description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the management and growing a portfolio of complex borrowing and depository relationships with commercial clients. This role drives loan, deposit, treasury management, and fee income growth, ensures sound credit quality, and serves as a market leader in community and business relationships while maintaining a strong knowledge of local business conditions. This position must also support the Bank's CRA lending initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Originates and manages lending and deposit relationships with complex, large commercial customers. Maintains, effectively manages and expands an individual commercial portfolio in all respects. Analyzes financial statements and customer profiles to support the needs of existing and potential customers. Works with other bank departments to effectively manage the credit process. Works on multiple complex projects simultaneously, and successfully. Works closely with the Credit Resolution department on the collection of past due loans and workout of problem credits. Actively participates in community and civic organizations. Leverages both community development and external relationships to meet bank growth and community development goals. Cross sells banking services to existing and perspective commercial customers. Coordinates CRA lending initiatives within the corporate lending department. Supports the bank's sales culture. Originates, develops and maintains relationships with commercial customers for their financial needs through direct and ongoing sales calls and referrals. Provides loan structures to meet customer needs and ensure that appropriate documentation exists to adequately protect the bank. Adheres to bank policy. Originates new business opportunities through outside business development sales calls to centers of influence and perspective customers. Follows up all internal and external customer referrals. Actively supports all internal business units by providing quality referrals through development of community and business relationships. Responsible for the sales management of assigned accounts.

Share expertise on complex lending structures, relationship management, and business development strategies.

Participate in market planning and execution of sales strategies to grow the commercial portfolio.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Must be willing to work as part of a team. Possess ability and commitment to develop business relationships with business borrowers. Ability to work under pressure.

Travel required for training, meetings and to meet with clients and prospects. Must be willing to become familiar with and promote bank products and services. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) degree or equivalent from four-year College or university, preferred. Minimum of twelve years of progressive commercial banking experience with a demonstrated history of managing and growing commercial relationships required. Minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role required. Established network of business and community relationships within the bank's market area preferred.
