Job Description

This position provides oversight, leadership and support for the Customer Relationship Support and Commercial Loan Support Teams, ensuring accurate and efficient onboarding, account processing, and loan handling for business clients. This position will utilize the highest level of knowledge and understanding of both our BSA/AML regulatory requirements and Bell Bank. This role ensures that the CRS/CLC Teams are providing the highest level of customer support and maintaining the desired processing times to provide our customers (internal & external) with the best customer experience. This position also provides leadership and guidance to the relevant systems staff members, ensures optimal customer service, and communicates with commercial teams about process updates and training needs. Responsibilities Leadership Responsibilities Sets a strong example for direct reports and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth. Provides continuous coaching and mentorship, targeting growth and learning opportunities to develop skills of direct reports. Aligns team goals with the company's mission and objectives, ensuring clarity in priorities and direction. Proactively identifies potential issues, facilitates open communication, and implements solutions that support team cohesion and overall effectiveness. Work in close step with the Treasury Management, Commercial Client Services, and Deposit/Loan Operations Teams to promote the optimal workflow of our highest volume tasks. Functional Responsibilities Manage the onboarding and business deposit account and business loan account opening processes. Manage customer service throughout the business customer relationship, from onboarding, through business account opening, loan booking and beyond to cultivate relationships with our customers. Partner closely with Commercial Banking, Treasury Management Sales, Commercial Banking Client Services, Credit Officers, and other internal groups to provide excellent customer service and grow the commercial relationship. Ensure business account requests and other inquiries are handled accurately in a timely manner, adhering to compliance and regulatory rules, controlling risk to the bank, and adhering to Bell's policies and procedures. Maintain an understanding of the commercial bank systems used to support business deposit accounts and business loans. Work to ensure we're capitalizing on efficiencies and continuing to develop as needed. Work with the BSA/AML and Legal teams to ensure the CRS/CLC Teams are receiving support and to help strengthen/support ongoing and future legal endeavors & regulatory requirements. Collaborate with peer management in optimizing process workflow between commercial deposit/loan account opening, commercial customer service, and the sales cycle of treasury management services. Partner with Commercial/Treasury/Deposits/Loans Operational teams to establish and maintain policies and procedures relating to all commercial deposit/loan account opening, and commercial customer service. Conduct meetings with retail branches, commercial bankers, and regional leadership to maintain engagement with front line banking personnel to provide support for commercial deposit/loan account processes. Communicate effectively to the commercial and business teams, to maintain consistent handling of business processes and procedures. Provide guidance in projects that have a direct impact on processes related to commercial deposit/loan account opening. Maintain knowledge of
BSA/AML/KYC
for commercial banking customers. Apply knowledge of banking products, services, operations, and risk/compliance expertise to effectively interact with all levels of leadership, staff, and customers. Verbalize and demonstrate knowledge of procedures for maintaining security, confidentiality, and integrity of employee and customer information. Education, Experience, and Other Expectations Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or related field; or equivalent experience. 6-8 years of experience within business or corporate operations, preferably within the banking or financial industry. 2-4 years of supervisory experience, preferred. Experience leading employees in multiple locations and/or remote working environment. Work flexible hours to support the department needs to include after hours and weekend, if necessary.
Travel required:
25% - 35%. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have the ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly in a demanding environment while working with minimal supervision. Understanding of
BSA/AML/KYC
for commercial banking customers. Working knowledge of Aperio, Signature, Nautilus, and online banking systems that are currently being used is helpful. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications. Strong organizational, communication, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
