  • Full-time Job Summary The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance.
The AGM assists in leading team members, maintaining brand standards, driving guest satisfaction, and achieving revenue and profitability goals while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management Assist in the daily management of hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Breakfast departments. Ensure compliance with all brand standards, company policies, and safety regulations. Monitor hotel cleanliness, service quality, and overall guest experience. Conduct regular property inspections and implement corrective actions as needed. Act as Manager-on-Duty (MOD) when required. Guest Experience Maintain a strong presence in guest-facing areas and promptly resolve guest concerns. Drive guest satisfaction scores and online review performance. Ensure all team members deliver exceptional hospitality and service. Team Leadership Recruit, train, coach, and develop hotel team members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement. Assist with scheduling and labor management to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Financial Management Support the General Manager in achieving budgeted revenue and profitability goals. Monitor departmental expenses and labor costs. Assist with forecasting, inventory control, and purchasing. Review daily reports and identify opportunities to improve financial performance. Sales & Revenue Support Partner with the sales team to maximize occupancy and revenue opportunities. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and revenue management strategies. Promote local business partnerships and community engagement initiatives. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain a safe environment for guests and employees. Support emergency preparedness and risk management procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of hotel management or supervisory experience. Experience with the Hampton Brand and PEP preferred. Strong knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Experience with Hilton brand standards and systems. Revenue management and budgeting experience. Strong guest service and conflict-resolution abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to respond to emergency situations throughout the property.
