Job Description

Assistant Manager Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Assistant Operations Manager to oversee daily plant operations, ensure team safety, and manage tire processing activities. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and technical skills to optimize production processes while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising personnel, operating heavy machinery, performing mechanical repairs, and overseeing maintenance and fleet management. Duties Lead and supervise daily plant operations, including tire shredding production, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met. Enforce OSHA, DOT, and environmental compliance protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Safely operate heavy machinery such as excavators, Shears, and loaders to support tire processing activities. Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment. Manage maintenance schedules for equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness. Oversee repair and licensing processes for the fleet of Trailers and vehicles. Coordinate with teams to optimize daily operations, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement process improvements. Requirements Proven experience in plant operations or a similar supervisory role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, or similar equipment. Mechanical skills including performing repairs, welding . Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental safety regulations with the ability to enforce compliance effectively. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to supervise teams efficiently. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment while maintaining safety standards. Pay:
$26.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 48.0 per week
