Description Role Overview The Transfer Specialist AM owns the physical movement of product between all Salt & Honey locations — ensuring every transfer runs on time, is tracked correctly in Asana/ClickUp, and is received accurately in Shopify. This role also carries full Assistant Manager authority: when the GM is not on-site, the Transfer Specialist AM runs the store. This is a role for someone who is equally dependable on the floor and on the road. Core Responsibilities — Assistant Manager (Primary) Lead the store when the General Manager is not on-site — you are in charge Open and close the store; manage cash drawer procedures and discrepancy reporting Delegate tasks to Lead Cashiers and Support Cashiers; ensure cleaning schedules and SOPs are followed Coach and redirect staff during shifts — demonstrate standards, don't just describe them Authorize and process returns and exchanges per current policy Resolve escalated customer situations professionally; escalate serious matters to the GM or Owners Communicate shift notes and operational concerns to the GM via Slack Process all transaction types in Shopify POS; remind every customer at checkout of the return policy Core Responsibilities — Transfer Specialist Transfer Runs Conduct transfer runs approximately twice per week on a schedule set by the General Managers — schedule may flex based on product volume and operational needs Transfer product between all Salt & Honey locations: 9th & 9th, Fashion Place, and Visit Salt Lake Coordinate drop-off timing and logistics with the receiving GM at each location prior to every run Asana / ClickUp Transfer Workflow Initiate every transfer in
Asana/ClickUp:
open the Transfer project, complete the "Fill Out New Transfer Form"; confirm the task is assigned and appears in the "In Transit" column Complete all four required subtasks before leaving: (1) stage product in the transfers area by the back door, (2) post a photo of the transfer to the Slack transfers channel, (3) fill out the Transfers clipboard, (4) update task status to "In Transit" All subtasks must be completed or deleted — incomplete subtasks break project reporting For transfers originating at
Fashion Place:
the FP team creates the task; Transfer Specialist reassigns receiving subtasks to themselves upon arrival at 9th Shopify & Inventory Create product orders and transfers in Shopify for each run — verify quantities against the transfer paper taped to the bin Receive product into Shopify at the drop-off location; confirm accuracy with the receiving team Coordinate with Nicole's Assistant (Taylor Sheldon) on proper product splits between locations Report any discrepancies between the transfer paper and actual product to the GM immediately Systems & Tools Shopify — product orders, transfers, and POS Asana / ClickUp — transfer workflow (required on every run) Slack — transfer photo posts, shift communication, inter-location coordination When I Work — scheduling What Exceptional Looks Like Transfers run on schedule, every time — no location is caught short on product The Asana/ClickUp workflow is completed accurately on every transfer — no abandoned subtasks Product arrives at the right location in the right quantities, received correctly in Shopify When running the store, the experience is indistinguishable from a GM shift They communicate proactively — if something in the schedule changes, they flag it before it becomes a problem Salary $15 - $15 per hour
