Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Wedding Venue Director/General Manager to lead the operations of a premier event space dedicated to creating unforgettable wedding experiences. This role requires a passionate leader with a strong background in hospitality, event management, and venue operations. As the driving force behind the venue's success, you will oversee daily activities, coordinate with clients and staff, and ensure every detail aligns with our high standards of excellence. Your leadership will inspire teams, streamline processes, and elevate guest satisfaction to new heights. Duties Manage all aspects of venue operations, including event planning, execution, and post-event follow-up to ensure seamless weddings and celebrations. Supervise staff members across departments such as catering, event setup, hospitality, and maintenance, fostering a positive team environment. Coordinate with clients from initial inquiry through event completion, providing expert guidance on logistics, décor, catering options, and technical requirements. Maintain operational standards by implementing policies related to health & safety protocols, guest services, and technical equipment management. Prepare detailed reports on venue performance, event feedback, staffing needs, and operational improvements using report writing skills. Qualifications Proven experience in event venue management or hospitality industry with a focus on weddings or large-scale events. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams and making managerial decisions confidently. Strong background in operations management including budgeting, shift scheduling, and resource allocation. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, staff, and guests. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for report writing and administrative tasks. Knowledge of nightclub or nightlife experience is a plus; familiarity with event technology systems is desirable. Previous experience in restaurant or resort settings enhances understanding of hospitality standards. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage financial reports related to events or venue operations. Certifications such as First Aid & CPR are preferred; technical proficiency in AV equipment is advantageous.
