Job Description

Executive Director | Edmonds Center for the Arts | Edmonds, WA | $150,000-$180,000 DOQ For 20 years, Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA) has been the cultural heart of Edmonds, WA, just 17 miles north of Seattle. This beloved 700-seat theater brings world-class performers to an intimate stage, hosts more than 100 events each year, and runs arts education programs that reach thousands of local young people. With a team of about 30 staff members, more than 120 dedicated volunteers, and a $4.1 million annual budget, ECA is a cornerstone of one of Washington's most vibrant creative communities. Now, as the organization enters an exciting new chapter, we are looking for our next Executive Director to help shape what comes next. As Executive Director, you will work closely with two boards, lead a talented team of directors, and serve as the public face of ECA to donors, government partners, and the wider community. Key priorities include building strong relationships across the organization, guiding a major campus redevelopment effort, leading a capital campaign, and helping ECA grow into a financially strong and sustainable future. This is a rare chance to leave a real mark on a cherished community institution. The ideal candidate is a proven executive leader with strong financial skills, experience navigating complex board structures, and a genuine love for the arts and community. We seek a steady, collaborative, and visionary leader who brings people together and guides organizations through change with confidence and grace. ECA offers a salary of $150,000 to $180,000, plus a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a state retirement plan, paid holidays, sick leave, vacation, flexible scheduling, and free on-site parking. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with a priority deadline of November 6, 2026. To apply, send your resume and a cover letter addressed to the Search Committee through the Valtas Group at valtasgroup.com/ECA. Questions can be directed to Ed Rogan at ed@valtasgroup.com or Amy Burton at amy@valtasgroup.com. je-0bd6afa002fc44969cc835cb1fab6954
