Join Our Team as a VP/Commercial Loan Officer! Are you an experienced commercial lender who enjoys building relationships, analyzing complex financial information, and helping businesses achieve their goals? AbbyBank is looking for a VP/Commercial Loan Officer to join our team and play a key role in developing quality commercial relationships and managing a successful loan portfolio! In this role, you'll develop, manage, and maintain a portfolio of quality commercial credits while identifying new lending and relationship opportunities. You'll work directly with business customers, analyze financial information, structure and present loan requests, monitor portfolio quality, and collaborate with Credit Analysts, Loan Processors, management, and other bank teams. This is a great opportunity for an experienced banking professional who enjoys combining credit analysis, relationship management, business development, and community involvement to make a meaningful impact for customers and the bank.
What You'll Do:

Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and customers by understanding their operations, financial goals, and lending needs. Grow thePortfolio:
Develop new commercial lending opportunities through customer visits, networking, community involvement, referrals, and business development activities.Analyze & Structure Loans:
Conduct loan interviews and analyze financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, cash flow, collateral, and other financial information to structure sound lending solutions.Collaborate & Problem Solve:
Partner with Credit Analysts and lending staff on financial analysis, loan structuring, credit presentations, and strategies that support both customers and the Bank.Know Your Customers:
Conduct on-site visits to understand business operations, evaluate collateral, develop relationships, and monitor existing credits. Prepare and confidently present accurate Loan Committee presentations and respond to questions regarding credit structure, financial condition, collateral, risk, and repayment sources.Manage Credit Quality:
Serve and monitor a commercial loan portfolio, complete annual reviews and risk rating analysis, and proactively identify and address potential credit concerns. Lead withConfidence:
Prepare and present Loan Committee presentations while clearly communicating credit structure, financial condition, repayment sources, collateral, and potential risks. Protect theBank:
Ensure loan closings, documentation, and lending practices are accurate, complete, and compliant with bank policies and regulatory requirements.Represent AbbyBank:
Build a strong presence in the community by professionally representing the Bank with customers, prospects, business professionals, community organizations, and networking groups.Who You Are:
You have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field. You have a minimum of 4 years of related commercial lending experience, including commercial credit analysis, loan structuring, portfolio management, and business development. You have experience analyzing financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, collateral, and other financial information. You have experience managing or supporting a commercial loan portfolio and developing lending relationships (preferred). You have strong knowledge of commercial lending practices, credit standards, applicable regulations, and bank lending policies. You have strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. You have excellent verbal, written, listening, and customer-service skills, including the ability to explain complex financial and lending information clearly. You can exercise sound independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and make informed lending recommendations within established authority. You are comfortable traveling between bank and customer locations and participating in community, trade, and professional activities. Why AbbyBank?
