Position Overview The General Manager will have overall responsibility for dealership operations, including sales, service, finance, and fixed operations. The successful candidate will be an inspiring and accountable leader with a demonstrated track record of improving dealership performance, developing teams, and delivering strong customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will combine strong business and financial acumen with the ability to build a high-performing culture and develop a strong leadership team. Key Responsibilities Lead all dealership departments to achieve profitability, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. Establish clear performance expectations, monitor KPIs, and hold leadership teams accountable for results. Create and maintain a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment. Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a strong leadership team and dealership staff. Deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain strong customer satisfaction results. Oversee dealership financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Maintain effective relationships with manufacturer/OEM representatives and ensure compliance with applicable standards. Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, profitability, and employee engagement. Support ongoing training, professional development, and succession planning. Represent the dealership professionally within the local market and build strong relationships with customers and community partners. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Manager or senior-level leader within a franchised automotive dealership. Proven success achieving sales, profitability, operational, and customer satisfaction objectives. Strong understanding of dealership operations, financial statements, and key performance metrics. Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with CRM, DMS, and digital retailing platforms. Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
