Job Description

JOB Please be advised this position is limited term (through June 30, 2030) and is contingent on available grant funding.

Under general direction, plans, supervises, trains, and coordinates the activities of staff responsible for implementing, monitoring and reporting a grant portfolio related to community development grant programs; to coordinate assigned activities with other City departments, divisions, and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to department management; and performs other work as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The following typical tasks and responsibilities are representative of this class. They are descriptive, not limiting.
Essential Duties:
Plans, supervises, and coordinates the activities of assigned staff responsible for implementing grant activities and all related reporting requirements; Facilitates project meetings, documents project decisions, progress, and next steps; Confers with stakeholders and grant partners to ensure programs/applications meet requested objectives; Creates and documents long-term strategies for project related operations; Develops and supervises the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for housing, homeless, community development programs and grants; Ensures effective communication between stakeholders, and internal and external partners; Prepares grant revisions, amendments, and/or extensions as deemed necessary; Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures.

June 18th, 2026 (Tentative) An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required.
