Job Description

The Scholarship Coordinator will serve as a key resource in assisting students and the community with the preparation and application process for college and scholarships. This role focuses on providing comprehensive support to ensure students and the community are aware of and take advantage of scholarship opportunities and are guided through college admission processes. Research, identify, and disseminate information on scholarship opportunities for Tribal Members, descendants and students. Assist students in completing scholarship applications, including guidance on essays and other required documentation. Organize workshops and informational sessions to educate students and parents about financial aid, scholarship strategies, and college application processes. Maintain and update a database of scholarships, deadlines, and requirements. Provide counsel and support to students regarding academic requirements and pre-requisite courses for college admissions. Track and report on the progress of applications and scholarship awards. Develop and maintain relationships with local and national scholarship providers. Guide students in setting educational goals and developing academic plans aligned with their college aspirations. Offer support in resolving any challenges students face during the application process. Maintain an organized communication and finance system, so that tuitions are paid on time. We are seeking a Scholarship Coordinator who can effectively support and engage with our community while guiding students through the college enrollment process. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of math readiness, college pathways, and scholarship opportunities. This role requires someone with both experience and dedication to helping students successfully navigate the application process, financial aid, and academic preparation, while building trust and meaningful connections within the community. Associate Degree with two years experience in school operations, academic advising, scholarship coordination, or tribal experience. Bachelor's Degree in a related field with experience in school operations, academic advising, scholarship coordination, or tribal experience preferred. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified/sensitive information.
