Job Description

We are looking for a Grant Analyst to support grant administration for a mission-driven non-profit organization in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position will oversee grant activity from initial review through final documentation, with a strong focus on compliance, operational consistency, and high-quality recordkeeping. The role works closely with internal partners to improve processes, support reporting needs, and help ensure grantmaking activities are handled accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the administration of routine and complex grants from intake through closure, ensuring each request is processed accurately and within expected timelines.
  • Evaluate grant requests through detailed due diligence, including review of recipient eligibility, charitable purpose, and required supporting documentation.
  • Interpret applicable policies and regulatory guidelines and apply them in a practical way to maintain consistent grant decision processes.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process enhancements that reduce delays, strengthen controls, and improve the overall service experience.
  • Maintain accurate grant records by enforcing data standards, validating coding, and ensuring complete documentation across transactions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting needs and produce reliable grant data that supports informed decision-making.
  • Promote effective use of grant management tools by developing training materials, refining templates, and supporting improvements to dashboards and related resources.
  • Serve as a dependable point of contact for escalated grant issues, urgent exceptions, and sensitive donor or grantee matters while balancing policy, risk, and organizational goals.
  • Provide support for additional grant operations activities and related administrative responsibilities as needed.
