//dhr.colorado.gov/dhr-resources/student-loan-forgiveness-programsWe are looking for a Grant Specialist to join our Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Division of the Office of Medicaid & CHP Behavioral Health Initiatives & Coverage (BHIC)!The RHTP Division of BHIC is responsible for the full lifecycle management of the State's RHTP initiative, encompassing program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting functions. The division ensures the State's compliance with the statutory and federal requirements of Section 71401 of Public Law 119-21 and the RHTP Notice of Funding Opportunity. Its work focuses on strengthening rural health system capacity through grant administration, provider technical assistance, workforce and service delivery initiatives, and evaluation of system transformation outcomes. The division manages partnerships with subrecipients, contractors, and federal agencies to ensure that investments support sustainable access to high-quality care in rural communities. We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements. Depending on the business need and description of the position, we have options that range from hybrid to full-time in the office. Specific discussions about the schedule will be discussed during the offer stage.•Please note - equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.•EXAMPLE OF DUTIES WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS GRANT SPECIALIST
Administer and oversee all phases of the grant lifecycle, from pre-application to closeout;Provide technical assistance on eligibility, funding use, reporting, and compliance requirements;Monitor financial reports, expenditures, milestones, and regulatory compliance;Track performance metrics and support grantees in meeting goals and deliverables;Analyze program data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements;Support the review and exercise of budget submissions for grant out years;Participate in quarterly financial review and annual programmatic review of the RHTP portfolio;Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on strategy and policy discussions;Conduct outreach and marketing to increase engagement among rural providers;This position provides project oversight and grant activity support through regular relevant travel to rural areas of Colorado; This is a term-limited position with funding through September 30, 2030.SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
