Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Analyst to support the financial and administrative management of grant-funded programs. This role is responsible for monitoring grant budgets, tracking expenditures, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, preparing reports, and supporting the full grant lifecycle from award setup through closeout. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with grants or restricted funding, and the ability to collaborate with finance, program, and external stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview grant agreements and funding terms to ensure compliance with sponsor requirementsMonitor grant budgets, spending, and allocationsPrepare financial reports, budget modifications, and grant reconciliationsTrack deadlines for reporting, renewals, and closeout activitiesAssist with grant proposal budgets and post-award financial administrationAnalyze variances and identify potential compliance or spending issuesSupport audits and maintain accurate grant documentationPartner with program managers and finance teams to ensure proper use of fundsEnsure expenses are allowable, allocable, and properly documentedMaintain data in grant management systems, spreadsheets, and reporting toolsQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, business, or related field2+ years of experience in grants management, grant accounting, financial analysis, or nonprofit/public sector financeStrong understanding of grant compliance, budgeting, and reporting practicesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial or grant management systemsExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and work independentlyPreferred QualificationsExperience with federal, state, foundation, or nonprofit grantsKnowledge of post-award administration and funder reporting requirementsExperience supporting audits or compliance reviewsTop SkillsGrant complianceBudget analysisFinancial reportingReconciliationData analysisExcelAttention to detailDeadline management
