Job Summary The Project Manager provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support for the Voices of a Republic project. This position oversees the day-to-day management of project activities, ensuring that timelines, logistics, and communications are effectively coordinated across project leadership, faculty, partner school districts, community organizations, and external consultants. The Project Manager supports budget monitoring, procurement, and compliance with institutional, state, and federal grant requirements while coordinating key program activities such as Summer Institutes, civic learning events, and professional development sessions. In addition, the Project Manager assists with participant tracking, data collection, evaluation coordination, and preparation of grant reports, ensuring that project documentation, reporting, and dissemination activities are organized and completed in a timely manner.

  • Project Manager Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the project, including scheduling, logistics, and communication across project activities.
Maintain and monitor the project work plan, timeline, and milestones to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule. Serve as a primary liaison between project leadership, Savannah State University departments, partner school districts, community organizations, and external consultants. Fiscal & Compliance Support Assist the Principal Investigator and grants administration with budget monitoring, including tracking expenditures and preparing internal budget updates. Ensure project activities comply with institutional policies, State of Georgia regulations, and federal grant requirements. Coordinate procurement, contracts, stipends, travel reimbursements, and documentation required for grant reporting and audits. Program Implementation Coordinate logistics for Summer Institutes, Saturday Labs, civic learning experiences, professional development sessions, and community events. Support participant recruitment, registration, attendance tracking, and stipend documentation. Maintain organized records of program participation, deliverables, and outputs aligned with project goals and the project logic model. Data & Evaluation Support Assist with data collection coordination in collaboration with the external evaluator, including scheduling surveys, interviews, observations, and site visits. Maintain project documentation needed for formative and summative evaluation activities. Support the preparation and submission of interim, annual, and final grant reports. Communication & Documentation Maintain project calendars, documentation, and shared project files. Coordinate logistics for dissemination activities, including conference presentations and community engagement events. Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation for project leadership and advisory meetings. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, public administration, project management, or a related field (master's preferred). Demonstrated experience managing grants, projects, or large-scale educational initiatives. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience working with K-12 school districts, higher education institutions, or community-based organizations. Familiarity with federal grant compliance, budgeting processes, and reporting requirements preferred. Proposed Salary The proposed salary for the Project Manager position is $60,000 annually . Knowledge of budget monitoring, procurement processes, and financial tracking within higher education or grant-funded projects. Knowledge of program implementation and coordination for educational initiatives, professional development, and community partnerships. Knowledge of data collection and evaluation processes used in program assessment and grant reporting. Skills Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate multiple activities, deadlines, and stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with faculty, administrators, school districts, community partners, and external evaluators. Ability to track budgets, maintain records, and prepare reports with accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with office productivity software, project management tools, and data tracking systems. Strong problem-solving and logistical planning skills to support complex program activities and events. Abilities Ability to coordinate and manage multiple project components simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across institutional and community settings. Ability to interpret and follow grant guidelines and compliance requirements. Ability to maintain organized documentation and accurate project records. Ability to work independently while supporting the priorities and goals of the project leadership team.
