Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits provided to regular Board of Regents or Civil Service employees. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees.

Temporary Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with coordination of Na'u II grant (Renovation and Hawaii Protocols Implementation). Work closely with other Na'u II key personnel and assist with all grant activities. Assist with grant procurement including but not limited to budget, reporting, etc. Prepare program reports, budgets, or program requests, keep track of expenditure of funds and prepare reports for the Na'u II grant. Works closely with Project Director and other Hawaii CC personnel associated with the Na'u II grant to implement grant activities. Direct and/or supervise grant-related personnel. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications BA in Hawaiian Studies, Liberal Arts, Social Science, Communication and at least 3 years of experience with student services activities, training with Hawaiian cultural and language focus and/or experience in higher education; or equivalent education/training or experience. If qualified applicants are not available, those not meeting minimum qualifications may be considered.
