Job Description
The DuPage County Health Department is excited to announce a new paid internship opportunity to work with our External Affairs team at our Central Public Health Center in Wheaton, Illinois. In this role will provide administrative, grant writing and support services to the DuPage Health Matters (DHM) program, promoting and communicating the goals of the DHM program. To learn more about the DHM program click on the link: DuPage Health Matters | DuPage County Health, IL Our general hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, this position will work 15 hours a week over two or three days. Developing grant applications Establishing a system for managing grants Follows up on communications for fundraising opportunities, including individual requests, grants and donations. Answers general inquiries regarding DHM. Reviews and composes general correspondence. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information; demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of other ethnic groups and cultures. Some classroom training in grant writing or management. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work independently and collaboratively and have demonstrated strong organizational skills as well as exceptional writing skills.
