Job Description

Executive Director of the Petal Education Foundation and District Advancement Executive Director of the Petal Education Foundation & District Advancement Based on 237 days Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 2.
Preferred:
Five years of fundraising or sales experience 3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral 4. Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills 5. Experience with financial oversight 6. Competence to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and be willing to work occasional evenings/weekends 7. Enthusiastic professional with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders 8. Flexibility and ability to lead and implement change in a fluid and entrepreneurial environment 9. Experience in relationship development and lead generation Special Knowledge/Skills 1. Proven history of meeting or exceeding fundraising/sales goals 2. Ability to work with business, community, and public entities 3. Knowledge of public education or school district organization 4. Knowledge of volunteer management techniques Responsibilities Include, but
Are Not Limited To:
1. Lead special projects, including the development of external funding applications, grant proposals, district events, receptions, and other hospitality requests 2. Coordinate the Mississippi Scholars Program (CTE) 3. Maintain current records 4. Work collaboratively with community agencies 5. Raise public awareness of the Foundation 6. Coordinate and write grant and endowment funding requests for the corporate and private sectors 7. Coordinate with the school sponsor for the ambassador program 8. Develop, manage, and direct the Foundation's process of receiving, reviewing, and awarding innovative educational grants that promote the Petal School District's core mission 9. Oversee the administrative tasks required to carry out the Foundation's mission and objectives 10.
