Description of Work:
The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families & Schools is an interdisciplinary research center in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Our mission is to make a positive difference in people's lives through research in the social, behavioral and educational sciences. We conduct grant-funded research, provide comprehensive research support, and share research findings across audiences and platforms. As a Grants Coordinator, you will: Serve in a customer-facing role and is responsible for ensuring grant transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines. Primarily execute and review routine and complex pre- and post-award grant transactions. Work closely with employees within the departments served, as well as functional office staff, providing a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions. Function under general supervision and is expected to utilize technology to provide professional services. Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma plus three (3) years of related finance or grant management work experience; OR Associate degree in a related field plus one (1) year of related finance or grant mangagement work experience; equivalent education/experience considered. A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge of finance terminology and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Experience performing project or cost accounting. Experience with SAP or similar large integrated finance system. Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices. Knowledge of grant terminology and practices.
Posted Salary:
$21.130/hr minimum
