Overview:
The Grants Manager is an essential part of the development team responsible for all grant writing, reporting and foundation relationships. This role requires a highly organized and energetic individual to collaborate with our development, finance, and program managers to proactively research, identify, and secure grants that support our mission. This entails identifying, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals, stewarding funder relationships, and coordinating the timely and accurate submission of required reports and metrics. Essential Job Functions Manages the entire grant process for all foundations, including writing narratives, data analysis, summarization, and communicating and coordinating with internal and external parties key to grant submission. Ensures timely and complete submissions of Letters of Interest, grant applications, and reports. Works collaboratively with the Director of Mission Advancement, the Foundation President, and key Foundation and CSH staff on the submission of all corporate and private foundation grant applications. Research, compile, and maintain statistical and grant specific information on all CSH programs. Proactively conducts research to identify new funding opportunities and develop a robust pipeline. Targeted funder research to forge new and reinforce existing relationships with foundation funders. Proactively contacts potential funding sources to determine focus for new grant opportunities. Gather and maintain precise data and statistics to monitor grant opportunities, predict submission deadlines, and support discussions with funding sources. Prepares correspondence and submits timely impact and grant reports promptly. Works collaboratively with program managers and leadership to develop new programs or strategies for grant opportunities, aligning submissions with funder focus. Proactively cultivates and provides stewardship for foundation donors. Cross department collaboration to gather requisite information for grant proposals, reports, and other communications. Diligent upkeep of the grant proposal and reporting calendar. Manages all grant opportunities, submissions, and reports in Instrumental including integration with Outlook calendar. Accurate recording and maintenance of donor and proposal information in Raisers Edge. Formal Education and Job Related Experience Bachelors degree in Communications, English, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience Two plus years of grant writing, research, and foundation relations, preferably in a healthcare environment Ability to analyze and summarize information both verbal and statistical Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet multiple deadlines Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite, Raisers Edge, and grant management databases
