Southern New Jersey (Camden County and surrounding service areas) Position Summary The Director of Prevention Services must demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, community engagement, collaboration, and improving outcomes for underserved populations throughout Southern New Jersey. The Director of Prevention Services is responsible for the leadership, development, implementation, and oversight of CPAC's prevention-focused initiatives and community-based programming. This position provides strategic direction and operational management for prevention services. The Director will be responsible for program planning, staff supervision, grant RFP process and compliance, community engagement and events, data reporting, partnership development, and evaluation activities to ensure programs are effective, culturally responsive, and aligned with organizational and funding objectives. The Director of Prevention Services serves as a key leader in advancing CPAC's mission through collaborative, trauma-informed, and equity-focused prevention strategies. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Program Leadership & Oversight Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of prevention programs and initiatives. Lead Prevention Fund Grant Request for Proposals (RFP) process Ensure all prevention services align with grant requirements, evidence-based practices, and community needs. Oversee day-to-day operations of prevention-related programs and activities. Develop annual work plans, program goals, deliverables, and implementation timelines. Monitor program outcomes and ensure continuous quality improvement. Coordinate and oversee large community events several times per year. Staff Supervision & Team Development Supervise prevention staff, community outreach and mobile outreach workers. Conduct regular staff meetings, supervision sessions, and performance evaluations. Support staff professional development and training opportunities. Foster a collaborative, professional, and mission-driven team environment. Community Engagement & Partnerships Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, schools, healthcare providers, coalitions, nonprofits, and government agencies. Represent CPAC at community meetings, advisory boards, conferences, and public events. Support community outreach efforts and ensure programs remain responsive to emerging community needs. Promote culturally responsive and community-informed prevention strategies. Grant & Contract Management Oversee compliance with federal, state, county, and foundation grants. Ensure timely submission of reports, deliverables, budgets, and required documentation. Collaborate with finance and administrative staff on budget monitoring and fiscal accountability. Assist with grant writing, funding development, and sustainability planning. Data, Reporting & Evaluation Monitor program performance measures and outcomes. Ensure accurate collection, tracking, and reporting of program data. Analyze trends and identify opportunities for program improvement. Prepare narrative and statistical reports for funders, leadership, and stakeholders. Prevention Education & Strategic Initiatives Support implementation of prevention education campaigns, workshops, training, and community forums. Assist in identifying emerging prevention priorities affecting Southern New Jersey communities.

Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree required in Public Health, Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, Community Health, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in prevention services, community health, nonprofit management, or human services. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Experience managing grants and community-based programs strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and organizational skills. Knowledge of prevention science and community-based programming. Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. Experience with program evaluation and data reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build collaborative partnerships with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/reporting systems. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with underserved populations and diverse communities. Familiarity with New Jersey prevention and human services systems. Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and grant administration. Bilingual skills are a plus. Working Conditions Combination of office, community, and field-based work. Local travel throughout Southern New Jersey is required. Occasional evening or weekend events may be required. Physical Requirements Ability to travel to community meetings and events.
