See full details in link below (for AFSCME employees) Full Benefits Summary (PDF) Shippensburg University is seeking for a Project Director for a federally funded grant through the Department of Justice's Office of Violence Against Women (OVW). It is a temporary grant funded position, not to exceed September 30, 2027. The purpose of the grant is to coordinate campus-wide efforts to reduce campus sexual and intimate partner violence and stalking. This position will serve as point to coordinate efforts for grant activities, policies, and protocols; generate grant reports and assessment; correspond with OVW; communicate with and schedule the internal and external Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT); and help with budget management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Day-to-day operations for, oversight of, and coordination of the OVW Grant activities
  • Assist with a comprehensive education program on sexual and intimate partner violence and stalking.
  • Assist with coordination across internal and external service providers to increased services for survivors.
  • Coordinate, communicate with, and schedule the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT).
  • Assist with formalizing and expanding internal and external partnerships regarding sexual and intimate partner violence and stalking.
  • Assist with development, management, and tracking of mandatory online first-year and transfer orientation education and prevention information.
  • Assist with development, management, and tracking of population-specific violence prevention programming.
  • Coordinate funder-required activities and training programs for SUPD officers, staff, student conduct and Title IX officials, and other CCRT members.
  • Maintain records and track data concerning students, faculty, staff, and other participation in grant-related trainings.
  • Complete required grant reports and evaluations.
  • Attend OVW-required technical assistance and training meetings, travel required.
  • Work with Shippensburg University financial, accounting, and grant management offices to manage grant and budget.
  • Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree, preferably in public or social sciences.
At least two (2) years full-time experience with victim services and knowledgeable of current frameworks and responses concerning campus sexual and intimate partner violence, stalking and other gender- and power-based violence. Strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational and time management skills; demonstrated computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheet, and database systems); comfort working both independently and as part of a team; experience in public speaking and public relations Current knowledge of evidence-based primary prevention, campus bystander engagement, student development, multicultural humility, and laws relevant to gender-based campus violence Demonstrated skill in managing difficult and complex situations involving students, parents, staff, faculty, University police, and community organizations High standards of personal and professional integrity and ethics Flexibility working various levels of structured learning environments and collaborating with faculty and administrative staff members A workstyle that is collaborative and self-directed Clean federal, state, and Childline background checks required Preferred Qualifications Prior experience managing a federal grant Demonstrated experience with groups and programming focused on college student-age, multicultural, LGBTQ populations and people with disabilities Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting workshops and training to various audiences, including faculty, students, and staff, concerning difficult subject matter
