Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Development and Communications Officer, the Assistant Director- Grants Management will work to maintain and grow proposal-based revenue streams with specific focus on managing current grant contracts and existing processes, identifying new opportunities; providing project management support to grant-related activities. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of current funders Prepare and submit grant applications Produce timely reporting Ensure contract compliance Conduct stewardship and correspondence activities Secure new funders; capture lapsed donors Perform prospect research, analysis and management; identify and cultivate potential donors Write private and public grants Match internal needs to external opportunities Collaborate to determine scope and mission fit Build multi-disiplinary consensus on goals, objectives, timelines, etc. Provide cross-team project management support Develop and administer an annual workplan Maintain grants calendar; ensure accuracy, meet due dates Create workflows and systems to enhance efficiencies, ensure transparencies and measure outcomes Coordinate cross-team efforts; act as liaison to grants function Maintain accurate records, ensure proper documentation Assist grant accounting efforts - application budgets, budget modifications, financial reporting, reconciliation, etc. Administration & Other Build and maintain strong inter-agency relationships Utilize database; conduct analysis and prepare reporting Support agency peers, including event assistance Prepare, plan for and support internal and external meetings Act as an ambassador and champion of CHSC's mission Essential Qualifications Minimum 5 years of successful philanthropic grant writing experience Experience taking the lead on successful team projects Ability to learn quickly on the job and synthesize complex themes in writing Exceptional attention to detail, professional judgment and critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to multi-task and organize for maximum efficiency Ability to work independently DonorPerfect or other fundraising database experience highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
