BIGA IMPACT
is seeking a mission-driven Case Manager to deliver housing and financial stability services to justice-involved individuals and their families across California's designated Small Counties. This is not a desk job . You will be on the road, meeting participants where they are, coaching them toward financial independence, and connecting them to housing resources.
This role is unique:
We don't just help participants find housing—we help them build a financial future.
You will guide participants through:
Budgeting, banking, and credit repair Debt reduction strategies and documented repayment plans Life insurance enrollment and understanding Estate planning, wills, and trusts Family-focused financial literacy We have spent the last quarter building a structured, replicable service model. Your role is to execute this model —not to build it from scratch. We provide the blueprint, training, and administrative support so you can focus on what matters: participants. Key Responsibilities Financial Stability Coaching (Primary Focus) Deliver one-on-one financial literacy sessions covering budgeting, banking, savings, and credit improvement. Guide participants toward long-term financial tools including life insurance, wills, trusts, and power of attorney. Develop and track documented debt repayment plans and emergency savings plans. Help participants understand asset protection, estate planning, and intergenerational wealth transfer. Partner with financial institutions and insurance providers to connect participants to products and services. Housing Stabilization Conduct participant intakes and housing assessments via phone and in person (travel required). Coordinate with local housing navigators, landlords, and property managers to secure housing. Administer rental assistance, move-in cost assistance, and eviction prevention services. Partnership Building & Outreach Attend PACT meetings hosted by CDCR/Parole in assigned counties to build referral networks. Maintain relationships with community-based organizations, financial institutions, and insurance providers. Documentation & Compliance Document all services and outcomes in ARG Connect (our case management system) for grant reporting. Ensure compliance with grant objectives (Goal 1: Housing Stability; Goal 2: Financial Stability ).
What We Are Looking For Financial Coaching Expert:
You have experience—or a strong willingness to learn—how to coach clients on budgeting, debt reduction, life insurance, estate planning, and financial products.
Relationship Builder:
You enjoy meeting new people and can represent BIGA professionally at PACT meetings, community events, and with financial/insurance partners.
Structured & Compliant:
You can follow a documented process and understand the importance of accurate data entry and grant compliance.
Self-Starter:
You are comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule across multiple counties.
Travel-Ready:
You have a reliable vehicle and are willing to travel regularly within the priority counties. Mileage is reimbursed.
Tech-Savvy:
You are comfortable using a laptop, CRM, and video conferencing tools.
Qualifications Required:
Experience in case management, social work, or community outreach (reentry, housing, or financial coaching preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to pass a background check. Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Experience or certification in financial coaching (e.g., Accredited Financial Counselor, Certified Financial Planner, or similar). Familiarity with life insurance, estate planning, wills, and trusts . Experience working with justice-involved individuals or reentry populations.
