SIPA Grants Coordinator Reports to: SIPA GovGrants Program Director Summary of Position The Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) is an independent governmental entity that provides digital government services to more than 1,000 government organizations across the state of Colorado. As a government that serves governments, one of SIPA's primary activities is making grants that support civic technology and innovation for Colorado governments. SIPA is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Grants Coordinator to support the management and administration of SIPA's growing portfolio of grants. This position will specifically focus on the SIPA GovGrants Program, which is SIPA's largest grant program and supports civic technology innovation across Colorado. The Coordinator will assist the SIPA GovGrants Program Director with all aspects of program operations, with an emphasis on grant award initiation, grantee budget and progress monitoring, and related program administration. The successful candidate for this position will have a demonstrated commitment to improving government service delivery through technology. Knowledge and experience with grant administration, particularly federal or other large, complex grants, would be ideal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The core duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Pre-Award Program Activities Actively market the grant program through regular communications, including generating website content, building awareness of the program among potential applicants, and highlighting program successes and milestones. Coordinate with the Program Director on planning and execution of meetings, workshops, presentations, and other program-related events. Provide targeted support to potential applicants in a timely and professional manner. Assist in the grant application review and evaluation process as needed. Grantee Monitoring and Support Support grantees in the development of grant outcome measures and the collection of outcomes data in support of the overall aggregation and analysis of program-wide impact measurement. Review narrative and financial grant progress reports and monitor for progress toward grant objectives, adherence to approved budgets, and compliance with grant agreements. Communicate with grantees to address questions, provide guidance and support around grant procedures, gather information and documentation, and remove obstacles or remedy issues. Identify opportunities to provide additional support and guidance to grantees to improve project outcomes and overall program impacts. Grant Program Administration Assist in the development and maintenance of program guidelines, procedures, and documentation. Identify opportunities to improve program templates, policies, and practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the program and drive program impact. General SIPA Activities Assist as needed with SIPA events, including webinars, workshops, and SIPA's annual User Conference Identify and pursue appropriate professional development opportunities related to the core functions of the role Exemplify the SIPA Culture Internalize SIPA's vision, mission, goals, and objectives Understand SIPA's policies and procedures Be respectful of all SIPA staff, Board members, customers, colleagues, and strategic partners Maintain working hours consistent with normal business hours Monday through Friday Maintain working relationships with everyone necessary to advance SIPA's mission and objectives Demonstrate a high level of ethical standards at all times Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time exempt professional position. SIPA maintains a hybrid work environment. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After initial in-person onboarding, most days can be worked remotely. Additionally, this position may at times require hours beyond the operational hours stated above. Skills/Experience Bachelor's degree, technical or business-related field preferred, and a minimum of two years of related professional experience An understanding of Colorado government, civic technology, and government grants and funding procedures Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, anticipate problems, and make informed decisions Demonstrated adaptability, professionalism, motivation, and courtesy necessary to work as part of a small organization with a high degree of collaboration with a large number of external stakeholders Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and communicate complex and technical information to a variety of audiences Technically proficiency in a variety of business, data management, and reporting tools; experience with Salesforce and Tableau highly preferred Salary Range $70,000 to $85,000 commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits SIPA provides generous health benefits to employees and their families including covering 85% of Health, and 50% of Dental costs. SIPA also provides LTD, STD and term life insurance (2x salary). SIPA participates in the Colorado PERA retirement plan. SIPA employees may also contribute to the PERA 457 and 401(k) plans.
