TITLE:
Manager of Prevention and Community Education
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Associate Executive Director, the Manager of Prevention and Community Education supports the agency's prevention initiatives in alignment with its mission and vision. This position is responsible for program development, staff training, and supervision within the Prevention and Education Department. The Manager of Prevention and Community Education organizes programs, activities, and outreach initiatives to strengthen community engagement, increase participation, and expand the agency's reach. In addition, this role is responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing strategic partnerships that support and enhance prevention and education efforts, as well as community engagement efforts related to the Rhode Island Sexual Assault Coalition's programs and priorities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide day-to-day management, supervision, and leadership of prevention team and programs. Responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnerships that increase the agency's reach and overall community impact. Provide leadership and support for the grant application process for the prevention and education departments and the overall agency. Responsible for grant reporting process for the prevention department and meeting program deliverables in a timely manner. Represent Day One by communicating its vision and mission in the community. Attends committees, community, and systems of chance impact meetings. Lead the advancement, implementation, and monitoring of Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) initiatives to ensure compliance with funding and program requirements. Work in collaboration with the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) to support and oversee implementation of activities associated with the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) program and the PHHS Block Grant. Develop and implement activities and initiatives that advance the Rhode Island Sexual Assault Coalition's prevention efforts, community engagement, and organizational goals. Responsible for organizing and providing technical assistance and support to community entities around prevention. Work in collaboration to foster and grow services programming for the I/DD community. Responsible for prevention lens to agency communication via statements, reports & social media. Work in collaboration with all agency departments around prevention and education to integrate prevention programming as needed within agency programs and services. Oversee and support data collection, evaluation, and reporting to inform program effectiveness and outcomes. Work in collaboration with the Development Team to identify and develop programs/projects in accordance with the strategic plan and mission of Day One. Ensure that projects are meeting the appropriate deadline by developing, planning, and initiating the execution of the program projects. Hires, trains, guides, and mentors' staff. Analyzes, monitors, and evaluates the performance of assigned staff; establishes work priorities.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to identify, develop, implement, promote and evaluate programs, activities and events to advance One Day's mission and increase public awareness of our institution, goals and agendas. Effective project management, analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated and successful experience identifying potential program and/or engagement opportunities related to identified strategic goals. Ability to build and maintain collaborative, long-term relationships, leverage opportunities to foster commitment and participation in organizational and community initiatives. Knowledge of prevention frameworks Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations with multiple priorities in a complex, dynamic and changing environment. Oral and written communication and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated effectiveness in outreach to constituent groups and local organizations. Clearance through BCI and

check required. •Successful completion of Victim of Crime Helpline training is required within 6-12 months of hire.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is an on‑site position and includes work at the Day One office as well as in school and community‑based settings. Remote or virtual work for project‑specific assignments with supervisory approval Position requires flexible hours and some evening and weekend hours Position requires some in-state travel and access to reliable transportation
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Graduate degree related to responsibilities preferred. 3-5 community affairs, partnership relations and supervisory experience. Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft 365. •Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred but not required.
