The Planned Giving Manager develops and manages a comprehensive planned giving program for the Tri-County Technical College Foundation. This role identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors and prospects for planned and legacy gifts, and integrates planned giving strategies within the TCTC Foundation's overall fundraising efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planned Giving Program Development Develop and manage the Foundation's planned giving program aligned with fundraising goals. Create marketing strategies to promote bequests, beneficiary designations, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, and other planned gift vehicles. Establish and steward a legacy giving society. Assist with planned gift acceptance policies and procedures. Donor Identification and Solicitation Identify and qualify planned giving prospects using research and donor data. Manage a portfolio of planned giving prospects and donors, conducting regular visits and outreach. Prepare and present customized proposals and gift illustrations. Work with donors and professional advisors (attorneys, CPAs, financial planners) to structure planned gifts. Coordinate with the Foundation team to integrate planned giving into annual, major, and campaign strategies. Stewardship Implement personalized stewardship for planned gift donors. Coordinate recognition, impact communication, and engagement opportunities with College leadership. Marketing and Outreach Partner with Foundation and College communications staff to produce planned giving marketing materials for print, web, email, and social media. Develop donor stories and educational content on planned giving. Plan and support donor workshops and events related to gift planning. Administration and Reporting Maintain accurate records in the Foundation's donor database. Track planned giving metrics and prepare regular reports for Foundation leadership and the Board. Monitor tax law and regulatory changes related to charitable giving. Manage the planned giving program budget. Additional Duties Provide support for general development, stewardship, and Foundation activities as needed. Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, or a related field. Three years of experience in planned giving, major gifts, or comparable fundraising role. Knowledge of planned giving vehicles, estate planning basics, and relevant tax regulations. Demonstrated donor cultivation and solicitation experience, including closing gifts of $10,000 or more. Strong written/verbal communication and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with donor databases and Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the tri-county area. CFRE or equivalent professional certification. Experience in a community college or technical college foundation. Familiarity with FreeWill or similar online planned giving platforms. Established relationships with regional estate planning professionals.
