Tri-County Technical College is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service-centered Part-Time/Temporary Administrative Assistant for the MSHA training program housed on our Pendleton Campus. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of the Engineering & Industrial Technology Division, the Administrative Assistant will work cooperatively with the MSHA Program Director/Lead Instructor as well as the MSHA Adjunct Instructor to provide administrative and logistical support for program operations, including but not limited to setting up training courses for industry customers; coordinating course delivery; entering/managing student registrations; communicating with industry customers regarding payment; maintaining certification records for the program; and fulfilling both internal and external program reporting requirements Successful candidates will have strong organizational skills, strong communication skills, high attention to detail, a customer-centered approach to problem-solving, and a positive, team-oriented attitude in addition to being proficient in Microsoft Office applications and adapting readily to organizational changes. Associate's degree and two years of professional experience OR a high school diploma and five years of professional experience in an office setting. Experience in an educational setting, student services and/or front-line customer service operations. This position is a Part-Time/Temporary Grant-Funded position that offers a flexible work schedule and is eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance benefits as well as retirement benefits through the SC Optional Retirement System. Because this is a Grant-Funded position, employment is only guaranteed each year through the end of the current grant, and the current MSHA grant ends September 30, 2027. However, this is an annual grant, and each year that Tri-County Technical College is awarded this grant, positions funded through this grant will receive an "employment offer letter" for that annual grant period. Tri-County Technical College is a public, two-year community and technical college serving Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties in South Carolina.
