Journey Through Life Foundation (JTLF) is a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening families through structured programs that foster emotional resilience, personal development, and positive life outcomes. JTLF provides underserved children with access to safe environments, trusted mentors, enriching experiences, and the community connections they need to thrive.
OUR PROGRAMS-WHAT YOU'LL SUPPORT
Summer Program
  • Mentorship, recreation & peer connection to keep youth engaged and safe during the most vulnerable months. Back-to-School Events
  • Supplies & resources that remove material barriers so low-income students start the year confident and ready. Thanksgiving Program
  • Meals & food supplies for families during the holiday season, reinforcing community belonging and well-being. Christmas Program
  • Toys, meals & supplies that bring holiday joy and dignity to families, while connecting them to year-round resources. Essential Goods
  • Ongoing distribution of food, supplies & household essentials so families stay stable and youth stay engaged. Education Program
  • Workshops, leadership development & mentorship-aligned learning that equips youth for academic success and life.
Operations Manage daily ops, logistics & program coordination Develop workflows, policies & procedures Oversee budgets, scheduling & vendor relationships Ensure nonprofit compliance & reporting Coordinate community events & outreach Track participation & engagement metrics Supervise volunteers & program staff Grant Writing & Fundraising Research foundation, corporate & government grants Write proposals, LOIs & funder reports Develop sponsorships & community partnerships Support campaigns, drives & fundraising events Manage submission pipeline & deadlines Cultivate and retain donor relationships Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred (Nonprofit, Business, or related) 2+ yrs in nonprofit, operations, or program management Grant writing or fundraising track record Strong organizational & leadership skills Comfortable managing multiple priorities & deadlines Schedule & Location Full-time, hybrid flexibility (Houston, TX on-site) Some evenings & weekends for events Flexible scheduling available Additional PTO earned through performance Compensation & Incentives Base salary
  • 40,000/year Grant bonus-1-3% on each awarded grant (e.g., $50K award = $500
  • 1,500 bonus) Sponsorship bonus-Paid per partnership secured Quarterly performance
  • Bonuses tied to revenue targets (OTE $50K
