Location:

Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) is seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and collaborative Grant Administration Specialist (One-Year, 2026-2027) to join our team on a part-time basis (0.6-0.8 FTE) starting immediately. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who excels at working collaboratively with teams with exceptional attention to detail when tracking the progress of grant investments. This position will lead our efforts in writing investments, while partnering closely with our leadership team to ensure the seamless implementation, tracking, and compliance of federal grant funds. Primary Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Investment Framing:
Synthesize complex organizational goals into compelling, persuasive, and data-driven investments, while preparing and submitting high-quality grant proposals that meet all requirements and deadlines.
Leadership Collaboration & Implementation:
Partner with the leadership team, internal project leads, and project teams to design workflows, gather relevant data, coordinate deliverables across various teams, and ensure all grant timelines are met.
Financial Management & Expenditure Tracking:
Manage budget creation and development for grant-funded projects, perform variance analysis (budget-to-actuals), and meticulously track expenditures, progress, and financial performance against specific funder guidelines.
Compliance, Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of funder-specific, state, or federal compliance requirements to prevent disallowed costs, ensure the organization successfully passes audits, and prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records of all required financial and narrative reports.
Team Support & Mentorship:
Serve as a key internal resource, translating complex funding rules into clear, actionable instructions for program staff. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Hands-on experience with grant management platforms and financial/accounting software Exceptional ability to serve as the primary liaison between our organization, internal project leads, and external granting agencies. Strong workflow design skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts and deadlines. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Experience working with grants preferred. Proficiency with grant management software and databases. Strong networking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Proficiency in Google suite & Google sheets Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
