For the area of Purchasing located in Axis / Mobile, AL we invite applications for the role as: Stores Clerk Reference-No.: 200003974 Department Procurement, Logistic, Supply Chain Management Position Employee Location USA, Mobile Purpose & key responsibilities of the role: Lenzing Fibers INC. is seeking a Stores Clerk. They will be responsible for the safe, efficient and controlled operation of the storeroom, ensuring that goods are received and stored safely. Helping manage stock levels; provide a professional counter service; locate and provide requested items to employees/contractors as required; and maintain a safe, clean work environment. Receive incoming parts, verify accuracy, label appropriately, and store items in correct inventory locations. Review work orders for proper material consumption and reconcile discrepancies. Organize, maintain, and continuously improve the MRO storeroom layout and storage systems. Retrieve and issue parts for planned work, kitting, and maintenance activities; ensure all parts are issued to the correct work order or cost center. Research part issues with mechanics and maintenance personnel as needed. Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory while adhering to internal controls and audit requirements. Utilize SAP (or equivalent plant computer management system) to manage inventory, including goods issues and goods receipts. Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment frequently throughout the shift. Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom environment. Comply with all Business/Quality policies, procedures, and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned. Our expectations for this exciting role: Experience using SAP or equivalent inventory management systems. Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy in data entry and documentation. Proficiency in identifying MRO storeroom parts and strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical components and equipment. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and make sound, objective decisions. Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills. Customer service mindset when supporting internal plant personnel. Physical ability to un-crate, lift, and move heavy machine parts as needed. Proficient and safe operation of forklifts (certification preferred or required per company policy). Inventory control experience preferred. Understanding of the financial impact of storeroom transactions on plant operations. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant experience in storeroom operations, inventory control, or maintenance support preferred.
