Job Description

Inventory Auditor -
Independent Contractor Assignment Schedule:
Assignments are generally available Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend assignments. Circle K assignments typically begin at 6:00 a.m. and continue until the inventory count is complete. Independent contractors may accept or decline assignments based on their availability. Once an assignment is accepted, the contractor is expected to arrive at the scheduled time and complete the assignment.
Compensation:
$20 per hour for time actively spent counting inventory at the assigned store. Travel time is not paid, and mileage and other travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Independent Contractor Status:
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Taxes will not be withheld from payments. Contractors are responsible for their own federal, state, and local tax obligations, including any required estimated tax payments.
Position Overview:
Inventory auditors are responsible for accurately and efficiently counting merchandise using a handheld scanner. This process includes scanning products and entering the quantity of each item. Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and a strong work ethic are essential.
Physical Requirements:
This is an active position that requires standing for extended periods, kneeling, bending, reaching, using step stools, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Inventory counts may take several hours to complete.
Travel Requirements:
Daily travel to different store locations is required. Contractors must have reliable transportation.
Communication and Professionalism:
Contractors must be able to communicate effectively with other auditors, company representatives, and store personnel. Personal cell phone use should be kept to a minimum while completing an assignment.
Safety:
Contractors are expected to follow all applicable safety procedures and store regulations while completing assignments.
Dress Code:
Closed-toe shoes, jeans, and a plain, graphic-free shirt are required. A jacket or sweatshirt is recommended because some assignments may involve working in coolers or other cold areas.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous inventory or retail experience is helpful but not required Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy Reliable transportation Dependability for all accepted assignments Willingness to travel to different store locations Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
