Inventory Associate II A shift: Monday through Friday, 7AM - 5
PM PST Location:
Edwards, CA Pay rate: $30 per hour
Assignment Duration:
6-Month Contract Position Summary The Inventory Associate is responsible for supporting fulfillment and inventory operations through receiving, inspection, inventory control, packaging, storage, shipping, and material movement activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, experience operating material handling equipment, and the ability to work within a fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, unload, and inspect inbound shipments for accuracy and quality. Perform inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities. Conduct quality control checks and process materials according to standard operating procedures. Complete data entry and documentation within inventory management systems. Package, label, and stage materials for storage, manufacturing, or shipment. Store inventory in designated locations and maintain inventory accuracy. Support picking, kitting, and shipping activities as required. Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and electronic pallet jacks, safely and efficiently. Identify process issues, escalate operational roadblocks, and participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Maintain organization and material traceability throughout the fulfillment process. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, receiving, or logistics operations. Experience with inventory counting, cycle counting, inventory audits, and material tracking. Experience in receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, packaging, and/or shipping operations. Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material (BOMs). Experience using inventory management or warehouse management systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Basic mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment and follow established safety procedures. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday. Must be able to operate a forklift or be willing and able to obtain forklift certification/training. Preferred Qualifications Aerospace, defense, automotive, manufacturing, or high-tech warehouse experience. Experience operating electronic pallet jacks (EPJ), reach trucks, or turret trucks. Experience supporting inventory control in a manufacturing or fulfillment center environment. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
