Inventory Clerk Job Description The Inventory Clerk accurately tracks, records, and optimizes rack inventory across production areas to ensure consistent material availability and efficient line utilization throughout each shift. Responsibilities Perform rack inventory counts in each designated area at the start of shift, mid-shift, and end of shift to track availability by model and maintain accurate stock visibility. Maintain precise records of rack quantities and promptly report any discrepancies or irregularities to the appropriate personnel. Ensure SLT and RLT lines remain consistently and fully utilized to support production requirements and minimize downtime. Coordinate closely with production and planning teams to address shortages, imbalances, or material flow issues in a timely manner. Monitor rack movement and placement to ensure proper allocation of racks across all designated areas. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing material flow, rack utilization, and inventory accuracy. Communicate status updates clearly and escalate issues to supervisors as needed to maintain smooth operations. Follow established procedures and best practices for inventory management and material handling to support overall production efficiency. Essential Skills Experience with inventory activities such as rack inventory counts and cycle counts. Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices. Material handling experience in a production or manufacturing setting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Basic data tracking and reporting skills, with familiarity using Excel or similar tools. Effective communication skills to coordinate with production, planning, and supervisory teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or material coordination is a plus. Experience supporting continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives. Comfort working with basic computer systems and inventory tracking tools. Why Work Here? Dress and conduct must comply with ESD manufacturing requirements and any site-specific safety guidelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
