Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the Materials Manager. Inventories, inputs data into Materials Management System, and fills medical supply carts for hospital units on a daily basis. Fills specialty carts and trays based on daily work assignment. Collects patient charges and distributes equipment as assigned on a daily basis. Supports all departments and procedural areas with request that fall under the materials management umbrella.

Assist in maintaining inventory control of the Storeroom perpetual inventory through cycle counts, maintenance, and proper distribution procedures of the department. Supports the department by performing additional task as requested. Must be passionate in providing excellent customer service and patient experience outcomes. Supply and equipment terminology preferred. Responsibilities Always checks unit supplies and maintains a sufficient amount on patient units. Always responds immediately to emergency requests as required. Always assists in monthly inventory; keeping accurate inventory records. Always checks supplies upon receiving from warehouse, and reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor. Always maintains equipment for patient care in a good working condition by checking for any broken parts, frayed cords and/or loose connections. Always maintains the Central Distribution area and storage areas in a sanitary and organized condition. Always responds to changes in the work schedule as necessary; continually uses time to departmental advantage. Performs well in emergency situations. Always completes work left from previous shifts and always makes arrangements to cover the units in time of vacation and sick time. Always reports and incomplete assignments to ensure continuity of procedures. Always assists others as requested; performs subordinate tasks as needed. Always demonstrates an ability to assess a situation from a variety of perspectives, consider several alternatives and chooses the appropriate one. Rotates on all shifts as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
High School Diploma preferred.

Central Distribution \ Mailroom experience preferredBLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire.
