Job Summary:
In this support role, the Inventory Clerk will assist with counts, restocks, and deliver medical supplies and equipment. In supporting the Greater Sacramento Surgery Center (GSSC), the Inventory Clerk will also unpack supplies, rotate inventory, and looks for outdates.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with shipping and receiving equipment and instruments. Create purchase orders for replacement instruments/equipment, special orders. Provide ATF PO for Bill only Provide support with large deliveries and to floor (Purchaser/Inventory Specialist) Assist AP with packing slip and invoice issues. Check surgery schedule for implant/instrument requests. Updating patients visits tab of graft and implant status. File maintenance of purchasing inbox (organization and classification of vendors) Support with receiving shipments. Support inventory and receiving with Verifying and confirming receivable items, signing, and initialing packing slips. Will organize and put away supplies in storeroom. Inspect for outdates and short dates. Stock all inventory locations daily. Scan and update packing slip spreadsheet as requested. Inventories and restocks supply carts using electronic equipment. Rotates stock by date. Maintains storeroom inventory of supplies and equipment. Notifies supervisor of inventory and equipment discrepancies. Receives stock. Checks for accuracy on all packing slips and bills of lading. Checks for damage. May use pallet jack, carts, and hand trucks.
Requirements:
Education, Licensure and Experience High School diploma or equivalent is required. At least one year's experience in hospital operating room supply chain, or surgical center. Required Skills and Abilities Knowledge of basic math and alpha filing system is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology. Receiving and distribution of hospital or ASC supplies. Accuracy, attention to detail, timeliness, organization, and prioritization, working with numbers. Ability to accurately count and restock supplies using an electronic device. Ability to accurately use the materials/inventory and computerized systems. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle large cartons. Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written.
