Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory & Purchasing Associate to manage day-to-day inventory control and purchasing activities. This position plays an important role in ensuring inventory is accurately tracked, products are purchased efficiently, orders are processed correctly, and incoming merchandise is received and prepared for sale. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with numbers and inventory systems, and able to manage multiple purchasing and inventory tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Duties Maintain accurate inventory levels and records through ongoing inventory control Monitor inventory and identify products that need to be reordered Obtain product quotes from vendors and compare pricing, availability and lead times. Create and process purchase orders Upload and maintain copies of purchase orders and related documentation in the shared drive Follow up on purchase orders and ensure orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner Review and proof vendor order acknowledgements to verify quantities, pricing, products and expected delivery dates Receive incoming inventory and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing documentation Identify and document damaged or missing merchandise and coordinate damage claims with vendors and carriers Maintain accurate product pricing information Price and tag inventory prior to being placed into stock or made available for sale Prepare and review inventory forecasting reports to identify sales trends and determine what products are selling Use sales and inventory information to help anticipate future purchasing needs and maintain appropriate stock levels Communicate with vendors and internal team members to resolve purchasing, inventory and receiving issues Maintain organized and accurate purchasing and inventory documentation Assist with inventory counts, reconciliations, and other inventory related projects as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in inventory control, purchasing, procurement, or a related position preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, inventory data and reports Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Design Manager knowledge a plus but not required Strong communication and follow-up skills Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal team members Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Pay:
$16.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
