Job Description
About the role California Closets is hiring an Inventory Associate for our Fort Myers manufacturing facility. You'll be the hands-on owner of physical inventory - receiving shipments, verifying deliveries against packing slips, keeping accurate counts, and staging materials for job carts on schedule. This isn't a pure "stock the shelf" role - you'll check ahead of each job's scheduled pull date that everything needed is in stock, and flag Purchasing early if something's missing, before it becomes a production problem. What you'll do Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made Validate, ahead of the scheduled pull date, that all items needed for a job are in stock, and notify Purchasing if something is missing Use judgment on staging order and sequencing for job carts based on the installation schedule Reconcile each delivery against its packing slip at receipt Conduct spot and partial physical inventory audits, and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual audits Operate a forklift Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory and storage areas What we're looking for Basic understanding of inventory control procedures Comfortable reading job specs and pick lists with real attention to detail Forklift certification, or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire Highly organized, able to work with minimum supervision High school diploma or GED Able to lift up to 70 pounds and be on your feet through a full shift Schedule 1st shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, some evenings and weekends as necessary. Non-exempt; overtime paid for hours worked beyond 40 in a week.
