Job Description

As an Entry-Level Material Controller is responsible for tracking, receiving, storing, and issuing materials to support production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations. The role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring materials are available when needed, and following company safety and quality procedures.

Job Summary:

The Entry-Level Material Controller supports inventory and material management activities by receiving, organizing, and distributing materials throughout the facility. This position works closely with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure efficient material flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments. Pick, package, and issue materials for production or customer orders. Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software or spreadsheets. Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies. Label, organize, and maintain warehouse storage areas. Follow safety regulations and company policies when handling materials. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (training/certification may be provided). Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Previous warehouse or inventory experience is a plus but not required. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of inventory management principles. Experience with ERP systems. Basic math and recordkeeping skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:

$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
