Job Description

Central Supply Clerk NeuLife Rehabilitation of Florida Position Summary NeuLife Rehabilitation of Florida is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Central Supply Clerk to support our Assisted Living Facility (ALF) and Rehabilitation Center operations. The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the procurement, storage, inventory, and distribution of nursing and medical supplies throughout the facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring staff have the supplies and equipment needed to provide safe, high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Procure and maintain nursing and medical supplies including examination gloves, patient lifts, bed pans, adult briefs, mattresses, and other medical equipment Research, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers Analyze pricing proposals and assist with contract negotiations Monitor inventory levels and track supply trends to prevent shortages or overstocking Receive, inspect, scan, and document incoming and outgoing supplies Organize storage areas and maintain accurate inventory records Ensure departments are properly charged for equipment and supplies Verify vendors provide appropriate safety sheets and required documentation Handle shipping discrepancies, damaged merchandise, and returns Assist with supply budgeting and cost control efforts Maintain compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and infection control standards Oversee intake, cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of medical equipment Inspect equipment for damage or malfunctioning parts Maintain a clean, safe, and organized supply area Communicate inventory status, shortages, and ordering needs to supervisors Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in medical supply, inventory control, purchasing, or healthcare preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Basic math and accounting knowledge Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift and move heavy boxes and supplies as needed Knowledge of infection control and patient safety procedures preferred
