Job Description

Position Summary The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting warehouse operations, and leading a team that ensures all material movements are processed correctly within SAP. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in SAP inventory, warehouse, and material management transactions. The Inventory Clerk works closely with warehouse, production, procurement, and planning teams to ensure real-time accuracy and smooth operational flow. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Perform daily cycle counts, location audits, and full physical inventory activities. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies using SAP reporting and transaction history. Maintain accurate stock levels through timely posting of goods movements (GI, GR, transfer postings, adjustments). Monitor aging inventory, blocked stock, and material availability issues. Support re-slotting, labeling, and warehouse organization initiatives. SAP Systems Expertise Execute advanced SAP transactions including: o MM/WM modules (e.g., MIGO, MB51, LT09, LT10, LX02, LS24, LS26, LT22) o Inventory adjustments o Transfer orders and confirmations o Batch/lot management Run SAP reports for stock analysis, movement history, and discrepancy research. Troubleshoot SAP errors, incorrect postings, and user issues. Support system testing, process improvements, and WMS/SAP integration tasks. Warehouse & Material Flow Support Coordinate with receiving, picking, and shipping teams to ensure accurate material flow. Verify inbound receipts, outbound shipments, and production staging transactions. Assist with kitting, replenishment, and material staging as needed. Ensure proper documentation for all material movements. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate logs, spreadsheets, and audit records. Prepare daily/weekly inventory accuracy reports and KPI summaries. Support internal and external audits with documentation and system data. Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with procurement to resolve PO issues, shortages, and over-receipts. Partner with production and planning to ensure material availability. Communicate discrepancies, risks, and process gaps to supervisors and management. Provide SAP guidance and support to warehouse associates and leads. Qualifications Required 2+ years of inventory control or warehouse experience. Extensive SAP experience in WM modules Strong understanding of inventory processes, material flow, and warehouse operations. Proficiency with RF scanners and WMS systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments. Experience with team leadership Knowledge of cycle counting methodologies and root-cause analysis. Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, filters). Familiarity with Lean/5S principles.
