Inventory Support Specialist Job Description The Inventory Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials for accurate storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This position is integral to the smooth operation of warehouse activities by adhering to established procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The specialist collaborates closely with supervisors and team members to meet production and customer requirements. Responsibilities Follow all safety rules and work instructions. Perform internal product transfers using FIFO. Collect raw material samples for quality testing when needed and rotate inventory per procedures. Report non-conforming materials. Load and unload trucks, containers, and tankers. Assist with freight management activities. Inspect transport equipment for safe handling. Prepare and stage customer orders. Maintain accurate paperwork and daily inventory. Keep work areas clean and dispose of materials properly. Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment; complete forklift checklists and other assigned tasks. Essential Skills High school diploma. 1 year warehouse or similar experience. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift operation experience. Work Environment The work environment is clean and organized, ensuring safe handling of materials. The role involves standard working hours with occasional requirements for flexibility in shift timing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
