Inventory Support Specialist Job Description The Inventory Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials to guarantee accurate storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This position is integral to maintaining smooth warehouse operations by adhering to established procedures and keeping a clean, organized work environment. Collaborating closely with supervisors and team members, you will help meet production and customer requirements. Responsibilities Follow all safety rules and work instructions. Perform internal product transfers using FIFO. Collect raw material samples for quality testing and rotate inventory per procedures. Report non-conforming materials. Load and unload trucks, containers, and tankers. Assist with freight management activities. Inspect transport equipment for safe handling. Prepare and stage customer orders. Maintain accurate paperwork and daily inventory. Keep work areas clean and dispose of materials properly. Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment; report and complete forklift checklists and other assigned tasks. Essential Skills High school diploma. 1 year warehouse or similar experience. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to use MS Office and ERP systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift operation experience. Cycle counting experience. Data entry and computer skills. Packing experience. Must have inventory experience with counting. Sit down forklift experience is preferred but training can be provided. You will work in an adhesive manufacturing facility that maintains a hotter environment, but overhead fans and open doors ensure proper airflow. The warehouse is highly organized, making it easy to locate items quickly and efficiently. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
