Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Department Associate in Fayetteville, GA. In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will be responsible for receiving inbound shipments, operating forklifts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are received efficiently and accurately. IN A RECEIVING DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATE JOB, YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Receiving and inspecting inbound shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verifying quantities, part numbers, and shipment documentation against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Operating reach truck, stand-up, and sit-down forklifts to unload, transport, and store materials safely.
- Performing cycle counts and assisting with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Using RF scanners and computer systems to receive inventory and update warehouse records.
- Entering and maintaining accurate inventory data using Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems.
- Understanding and accurately working with units of measure (UOM), including cases, reaches, dozens, cartons, and pallets.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area while following company safety procedures.
- Working closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely material flow.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Previous experience in a receiving department within a warehouse or manufacturing environment is required.
- Experience operating reach truck, stand-up, and sit-down forklifts.
- Strong understanding of receiving procedures, inventory control, and cycle counting.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse computer systems.
- Microsoft Office experience, including Excel, is a plus.
- Strong math skills with the ability to accurately calculate quantities and verify inventory.
- Knowledge of units of measure (UOM), including cases, reaches, dozens, and other inventory measurements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a team-oriented attitude.
- Availability for an in-person interview in Fayetteville, GA.
