Job Description

We are seeking a Hospital Inventory Clerk to join our Magic Valley Medical Center Surgical Services team. This clerk maintains a perpetual inventory of material, equipment, supplies and other general stock items.
Schedule:
This is a part time position, 20 hours per week Monday - Friday, 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What You Can Expect:
Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to records. Computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels. Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods. Re-stocks items as necessary. Labels shelves. May maintain, edit and troubleshoot case preference cards to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Liaises with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepares deliveries. Participate and initiate performance improvement projects that are relevant to inventory management. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
