Job Description

Scope of Inventory Central Supplies supports a wide range of materials, including: Repair and machine parts (similar to an automotive parts environment) General factory supplies and PPE Select laboratory items Sanitation and cleaning goods We currently manage approximately 20,000 unique items and perform over 27,000 individual counts annually . Key Responsibilities Travel throughout the plant to designated storage locations Perform accurate physical counts on assigned inventory items Record counts manually or by using a handheld scanning/counting device Identify parts correctly by matching identifiers (e.g., motors, bearings, gears, sensors, pumps, chains) Straighten, organize, and face shelving and bins while counting Shift stored items as needed to verify correct quantities (within safety standards) Assist with other related storeroom tasks if required Required Skills & Qualifications Ability to work independently once trained Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable using a handheld device with small buttons and display Basic mechanical or parts knowledge is preferred (not in-depth) Proven reliability and consistency in previous roles Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, and light lifting Previous experience inventory.
