Job Description

Wastequip is hiring an Inventory Clerk for our Mt. Sterling, KY location. This is a full-time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and so much more. The Inventory Control Specialist will focus on improving the organization, visibility and control of on hand inventory items. The aim of the tagging and control activities is to improve inventory accuracy and counts.

Hourly Range:

$20.00 Responsibilities

  • Organize parts and components in all external yard and warehouse locations. Ensure appropriate labeling is affixed to allow for immediate and correct identification
  • Create and maintain a map detailing the location of all components and parts
  • Perform daily cycle counts to validate staging and rack location accuracy, validating those components exist in the minimal number of locations possible. Work with Plant Management and Shop Supervisors to identify problem components and maintain focus on inventory correction activities
  • Monitor daily transactions to ensure that material handlers are correctly scanning inventory movements between storage locations and the production floor
  • Check BOMs (Bill of Material) and engineering drawings to help assist operations with BOM accuracy
  • Review production reporting to help identify orders that were incorrectly claimed. Work with shop floor to increase their reporting accuracy
  • Assist material handlers and purchasing team by reviewing quantity variances on purchase order receipts. Help verify that what was physically received matches what was received in the ERP system to further improve inventory accuracy
  • Working with Accounting, maintain and work to isolate Excess and Obsolete (quarantine or identify) and in working with Engineering and Accounting either determine an alternative use for them or establish disposition (scrap) to resolve
  • Help maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Technical Degree is preferred
  • 1-3+ years of directly related experience
  • 1+ years' experience in inventory management or related field
  • Experience with Dynamic 365 ERP or Similar ERPs tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
